The University has an extensive track record in engagement with Europe and European research and development. Over the last 3 years we have been delivering on over 120 research contracts awarded by the European Commission, the vast majority of which have been multi-partner collaborations across Europe and beyond. Coventry’s new £100M research strategy, ‘Excellence with Impact’, builds on this trend and will transform the way we research by applying fresh and original approaches.
Ideally situated in the birthplace of motoring, the Faculty of Engineering and Computing offers expertise ranging from automotive, building and aerospace. Located within the Faculty of Engineering & Computing is the Manufacturing and Materials Engineering Research Centre (MME). MME builds on the historic research strengths at Coventry, and adds new research teams through investment and growth. It’s core themes of Materials, Products and Processes support collaborative research with key industrial sectors including aerospace, automotive, and nuclear power generation. The Structural Integrity team is developing advanced methodologies for the study of damage processes in materials for critical structural applications.
